Key Points Raised During Research

- Multiple power sockets and adapters are needed as there are many batteries that require charging

- Multiple socket adapters take up too much luggage space

- Quality socket adapters are usually bulky

- The sockets at some accommodations are limited

- Some sockets are located in tight spaces or far away from desks

- Bring an extension cord and a travel adapter takes up too much space and often messy

- May blow the fuse in the adapter

The volume of the adapters was highlighted as one of the biggest issues. Multiple sockets are needed for charging several devices, while it is impossible to bring many adapters due to the baggage limitation of airlines and limited sockets accommodation might have. The idea of combining an adapter and extension cord to reduce the total volume in the luggage would be a good solution.

Furthermore, data was collected from a questionnaire, showing the majority of participants require more than 3 charging ports when they travel aboard. Over 80% of participants bring both adapters and extension cords and 40% find it takes too much space in luggage, reinforcing the need for a new product for the market.
